MISSION STATEMENT
Our main objective is to preserve and analyze the “original/traditional” version of Grand Master Ed Parker’s American Kenpo Karate and continue the legitimate lines of rank and heritage Mr. Parker has left us. Our organization is American Kenpo International headed by Master Tony Cogliandro.
KENPO CREED
“ I COME TO YOU WITH ONLY “KARATE” - EMPTY HANDS- I HAVE NO WEAPONS; BUT SHOULD I BE FORCED TO DEFEND MYSELF, MY PRINCIPLES OR MY HONOR...SHOULD IT BE A MATTER OF LIFE OR DEATH, OF RIGHT OR WRONG, THEN HERE ARE MY WEAPONS- “KARATE” - MY EMPTY HANDS.”
-ED PARKER
About Us
Chief Instructor
Mr. Dan has been an involved in martial arts for over 20 years. With several years of experience as an instructor, Mr. Dan opened World-Class Kenpo Karate Academy in 1998. We are located at 360 Faunce Corner Rd. Dartmouth, Ma (directly across the street from the Vanity Fair Outlet in the Pinnacle Health & Fitness Building).
The Academy
At World-Class Kenpo Karate Academy we teach realistic methods of self-defense. Kenpo Karate uses all of our weapons ( the hands, fingers, elbows, knees, feet) in ways that anyone, not just exceptional athletes, can perform. It emphasizes speed, power, agility and accuracy, but requires no special strength or abilities.
In Children
The program builds confidence and character by providing control over his or her body and the ability to stand up to peer pressure and other intimidating situations.
Karate instruction also involves sparring. This helps develop a sense of fair play in a controlled competitive situation.
And finally, Karate is good, clean fun for kids, a great way to burn off extra energy.
